I’ve been enthralled by cenotes (pronounced: se-no-tehs) since I first visited Mexico in 2010 and went to Cuzamá. About an hour or so out of Merida there are 3 gorgeous cenotes that can be accessed by a mini-train that runs through the jungle past the three cenotes. I highly recommend it if you are spending a few days in Merida – you can find out more info here. (Please be aware, I’m not sure how up to date the information is 😳)

But earlier this month, I’ve had the fortune to explore some cenotes (as well as other water fun) along the Riviera Maya. Whilst there are iconic water adventure parks on the Riviera Maya, I wanted to try something a little off the beaten track and not so touristy.
